Introduced in 1869, this vintage peony has a strong, pleasant fragrance. Its blooms are very large, beginning a lemon-white color and turning pure white as they mature. Initially flat, the blooms grow into large round globes, reaching about 6½ inches across.

This item is one peony bare root. Planting dormant roots in the autumn allows the peony plant to establish a root system during the cool months to support spring growth. Peonies will thrive in USDA growing zones 3 - 8. Peonies are perennials, and will grow larger every year, so I advise planting them 36” apart.
