frequently asked questions
I don’t know how much flowers cost. Where do I start?
Each wedding is different, and each florist has their own costs to cover. Historically, Diadem couples have budgeted an average of $6000 - $14,000 for full service florals for celebrations with a moderate number of attendants and 150-200 guests. Many couples have also opted for more petite events and have invested $1600 - $2500 on flowers that they pick up from our studio.
Can I change my floral plan after we sign a contract?
Absolutely. Plans change all of the time. Until about 4 weeks before your event, we can redesign, top to bottom, start to finish. Inside that timeframe gets a little tricky for sourcing materials, so it’s better to stick to a few changes like number of centerpieces or adding one more cuff for your mother in law. It’s all very clear and straightforward in our contract. And I usually check in with you about 6 weeks before the wedding to make sure we’re still all on the same train.
Are you insured?
We sure are! Up to 1M in coverage. Bona fide.
What about candles?
I love candles. I can absolutely do the candles for you. Make sure to let me know when we chat or in your inquiry form so I can get them into the quote. It also gives me a chance to check the open flame policy at your venue. No one wants their place to burn down at your wedding.
Can I request specific flowers?
Please do! I will always be very forthcoming about what is available when you are getting married. And part of that is being very transparent about what is in season at the farm and what I can sustainably source from other local or regional growers. All of our design work is inspired by what’s happening at the very moment of your celebration. I love to see inspiration photos from Pinterest and Instagram, but ultimately, I’m hoping you’ll trust me to create something special for you and not a replica of someone else’s work or day.
Do you offer any planning services?
In my career(s), I have produced entire theatre seasons, more than one multiple day music festival, many international and national concert tours, two different concert series on different coasts, a couple of anniversary parties, and a handful of very special weddings. Day-of coordination is available as an add-on service, as well as partial planning, and full service planning assistance. Please let me know if you need help. I’d love to use this Masters degree a bit more if I can!
